So I’m staying in the village of East Hampton, it’s definitely the snooty-est of the Hamptons but it’s also super quaint and peaceful and cute. There are lots of windmills and cemeteries and old, beautiful houses. There is also a lot of fancy stores but I pretend they aren’t there.

Tonight I went to this laid-back Mexican restaurant called La Fondita and it was EXCELLENT. It was the cutest place ever, bright, kitchen in the middle, lots of Mexican sodas. After dinner I hit up the IGA (independent grocers of america) grocery store for some of the essentials like fat-free cream cheese, canned corn and mangoes.
It’s weird food shopping alone, driving alone, eating alone. I remember I used to revel in that independence. And while it is nice to have so much “me” time now, it also reminds me of how much I love being with the one I love.
