From our deck

The deck at sunset

After work I drove to the beach since I haven’t seen the ocean yet. It’s really beautiful (obviously) and was so refreshing. It’s such a strange but beautiful mix of the woods and ocean here.

Growing up in Florida, being at the ocean always gives me such a sense of calmness. When I look out at the ocean I suddenly drop all my worries and questions for a few minutes because everything seems so small compared to the vastness of the sky and the water. Things seem to go on forever.

The best part is the ocean is literally a 2.5 minutes drive from the office so I’m going to try amd make it a habit of reading until the sun sets.

After the ocean I wanted to waste some time because my roommate/boss had a date at the house and I wanted to give them some time. I drove a bit east to the nearby town of Amagansett where I found this AMAZING tiny MExican/Columbian grocery store/panderia/taco shop. I had THE BEST TACOS I’ve had in a long time. There is a huge sub culture of Latinos here and it’s funny but I feel way more comfortable around them than the rich whities.
It’s Friday already - one week down, six to go.
